Magical Dark Roses Castle – Hints of Disney Magic
This marks the third in my series of castles that remind me of Disney in the fall. For this one in particular, I am reminded of Maleficent. The dark and beautiful colors are perfect not just for Halloween but for anyone who likes Maleficent or a gothic vibe. How about a castle fit for the mistress of all evil? This one’s not just for the faint-hearted, it’s for those who appreciate a touch of darkness in their fairy tales!
I’m a Maleficent movies superfan. The eerie yet stunning scenery and sets were pure perfection, just like the storyline. The moment I spotted that castle, I couldn’t resist the urge to whip up a design inspired by it. Well, looks like I’ve got my weekend plans sorted – stitching and a Maleficent marathon it is!

When converting watercolor artwork into cross stitch patterns, I know it was important to consider the level of detail and intricacy to ensure that the essence of the original artwork was preserved. Additionally, the choice of color palette and the number of thread shades can greatly impact the final results, so I created the designs each using two sizes of stitch counts, as well as different number of colors of DMC threads used.
It’s fascinating to witness the transformation of a two-dimensional artwork into a three-dimensional textured piece through the art of cross stitching.
