Magical Watercolor Castle – Hints of Disney Magic
This delightful watercolor castle is cleverly tucked within a not-so-hidden Mickey. My favorite color is blue, and I was instantly captivated by the use of blues and purples. The fireworks illuminating the castle evoke a sense of the perfect conclusion to a wonderful day at one of my beloved Disney parks.
The nature of this design is delightfully impressionistic. Capturing the essence of the picture required a minimum of 300×300 count pattern, which allowed for a more detailed design. Additionally, I have created two versions, one featuring a charming watercolor splatter and the other without.

When converting watercolor artwork into cross stitch patterns, I know it was important to consider the level of detail and intricacy to ensure that the essence of the original artwork was preserved. Additionally, the choice of color palette and the number of thread shades can greatly impact the final results, so I created the designs each using two sizes of stitch counts, as well as different number of colors of DMC threads used.
It’s fascinating to witness the transformation of a two-dimensional artwork into a three-dimensional textured piece through the art of cross stitching.
