Despite tough circumstances, I am committed to providing free patterns for all our members, ensuring that the beauty of cross stitching remains a constant in our lives.

A Reminder: Why I Offer My Designs for Free

I posted this last month letting people know why I offer my designs for free, but it seems even more fitting to add a reminder: “So why do I offer my cross stitch designs for free? Because I believe in making this craft accessible, nurturing a supportive community, giving back, reaching more people, and sharing the joy of creativity. Offering free patterns is my way of giving others the opportunity to discover the joy of cross stitching without any pressure or cost involved in new designs.”

What Was New to the Site This Month!

📬 Catching Stitches and Sunshine: My Latest Adventures

I hope your needles are sharp and your threads are tangle-free because I’ve got some delightful tales to share from my recent escapades this past month. Buckle up, this one’s a rollercoaster of sunshine, Disney magic, and stichy goodness!

Project Linus Quilt – Grumpy Cat

Before leaving on my sun-filled adventure, I dove headfirst into a cozy new project for Project Linus. Inspired by the internet’s most iconic and lovable feline, I’ve embarked on a quilt featuring Grumpy Cat fabric. Is there anything more comforting than snuggling under a quilt adorned with that adorably irked face? Plus, it’s for a great cause, so there’s that warm, fuzzy feeling to keep you cozy too. 🧵😾

Barnyard Friends – Duck

And wait for it…I finally reached a milestone on my Barnyard Friends – Duck cross stitch! Woo hoo! I got my first pattern page finish on this quacktacular design. I couldn’t be more happy! Watching those tiny X’s come together is the kind of satisfaction only a fellow stitcher can understand.

Florida Fun and Disney Magic

I recently jetted off to sunny Florida where Mr. Goofin’ Off and I soaked up some much-needed vitamin D and indulged in the whimsical wonders of some Disney attractions. We went sought out MuppetVision 3D for one last time before it closed. Who knew that Kermit and the gant could be such masters of the screen? Glad I remembered to keep an eye out for any random flying pies – those Muppets can be unpredictable!

Have I ever told you about how I purchased a timeshare on the resale market almost 20 years ago…and, for us, it has been one of the best investments we’ve made. We get to stay in a 1-bedroom villa at a Disney resort two times a year. It allows us to get sneak away from the Pacific Northwest during the gray and rainy season. #NoRegrets!
