Hi, I’m Andrea, I’m striving to make each year more fun, more magical, and more “goofy” than the last!

I’ve been blogging at Goofin’ Off Around the Block for many years on the old Blogger platform…albeit on an off-and-on basis. In the past, I’ve mostly shared my cross stitch, quilting, and family adventures.

Lately, I’ve been completely engrossed in creating cross stitch patterns whenever I have some downtime at work or can’t sleep at night and definitely shouldn’t pick up that needle (no one wants a visit from the unpicking frog!).

I know I’ll never have time to stitch all these designs, but I’m thrilled to share them. (Shh… I love adding a little Disney magic whenever I can.) It’s a win-win situation. I absolutely adore a good win-win!

Here are 10 fun things to know about me:

1. I’m fortunate to have been born and raised in the stunning Pacific Northwest. Living within an hour of both the beach and the mountains brings me so much joy and gratitude.
2. I am an early bird, while Mr. Goofin’ Off is a night owl. I like to get my serious work done in the early hours before he even considers waking up, but I always make sure to be ready for my good morning hug once he’s up and about.
3. I’m like a deep-sea diver when I’m focused on a project… I can’t come up for air, so please don’t disturb the diving expedition! But when I resurface, I’m all for a good chat!
4. I’m absolutely smitten with chocolate! Even though I strive to maintain a healthy diet, I simply can’t resist a decadent chocolate dessert. Indulging in a heavenly slice of Godiva cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory is one of my greatest weak spots!
5. I am crazy shy in groups, but I love a good one-on-one conversation with just about anybody. If you’re ever at a Disney park…I just might talk your ear off.
6. When stress knocks on my door, I take it for a walk on the beach and watch it attempt to build a sandcastle. If that fails, I kindly set a timer for an hour and challenge stress by focusing in on a project.
7. I’m all about that Disney life – I sprinkle it into my day-to-day like pixie dust!
8. Although I don’t watch much TV, when I do I prefer a good old-fashioned sitcom: The Brady Bunch, The Middle, Everybody Loves Raymond…are a few of my favorites.
9. Spending time with my family brings me so much joy! Whether we’re simply hanging out, playing games, or embarking on adventures, every moment with them is precious.
10. I cherish the bond I share with my fellow bloggers and readers! Though we may never meet in person, I deeply value our interactions and connections!
